I was a bit disappointed that there was a pronounced mildewy smell to the yarn when I opened the shipping box, but the yarn appears undamaged. It is certainly probable the shipment picked up the smell in transit. The seller reached out to me, apologized, and issued a partial refund to compensate for any inconvenience.
