Remarkably for a woman in that era she was a world traveller, painting throughout the USA, Europe, North Africa and Latin America. This volume brings together Schille's finest paintings - still lifes, landscapes and gardens, mothers and children, market and harbour scenes - to present a complete overview of a remarkable person's life and work., Alice Schille (1869-1955) was one of the finest watercolour artists of her time.     The book couples biographically details and artistic analysis in a very readable and enjoyable way.

    Alice Schille’s deserves much more recognition. Her watercolor technique is superior. Her keen interest in continually evolving her style is inspiring
