      Extremely reliable drives and a good value that lasts a long time.

      HGST has to be one of the best HDD made. I have bought them when they were an independent company and they were bought out by Western Digital in Oct 2013, who is phasing them out and identifying them as HGST drives. The Ultrastar and Deskstar drives which were HGST drives will be labeled as Western Digital Ultrastar and WD Deskstar.

      HGST Travelstar 7K1000 SATA 6.0 Gb/s

      I've used four of these drives so far in internal and external applications with no problems. I buy drives primarily for their reliability and reasonable speed. Everything I've done so far with these drives has been pretty quick and trouble free. I like the light weight and very small size as well. All of my drives were about three years old when I bought them.

      HGST is a true winner for storage needs.

      Inexpensive relative to SSDs, astronomically so..perfect storage as mechanical drives have a proven record and best for data recovery..not so much with SSD yet.

      Affordable and Fast

      Great affordable and fast hard drive for a laptop. My old one lasted 6 years, longer than my laptop fans, and I just bought another one to replace it. If anyone has an MSI Apache Pro GE62 6QD, this hdd will fit it perfectly.

      Far much better that Western Digital

      I had a western Digital 750GB in my Dell XPS 14Z, That drive didn't perform for an i7 at all and gave up with bad sectors. Purchased this drive and installed it and works like wow. This is the first time I experienced performance in my Laptop.
