These are films from a time period when Hollywood knew a thing or two about how to produce a good hard-boiled noir and set the standard for all Mafia films and TV series to follow. All four of the movies featured here--THE BIG COMBO, JOHNNY ONE-EYE, KID MONK BARONI, and PORT OF NEW YORK--might have slipped under the radar next to more iconic film noirs, but they are each classics in their own right.
