        My preferred work camera

        I use a camera a LOT in my work taking lots of photo in all kinds of conditions, and rapidly. These are representative photos and not studio type photos. It is also great for personal family use. Consequently I have had to replace my camera every 6-24 months BECAUSE I DROPPED IT! I try to keep the strap around my wrist which has saved my camera many times. EACH NIKON I have had of this model works exactly the same as the first one so I know what to do in certain conditions, what to expect, and I get necessary, quality photos each time. Aside from tragically dropping one, it SUCKS the juice out of batteries quickly, which I was forewarned of in the beginning so I have rechargeable batteries & plenty of them as well as plenty of one timers. But really, the battery usage is not an issue.

        WHAT I FOUND WITH TWO OR THREE OF THIS MODEL NIKON

        I have a few other digital cameras, but I find that this is the one that I carry with me (in the car) and the one that I grab for a quick shot. It Does not jump when I hit the shutter release button ~ like my Fuji camera does. Therefore no blurry photos! My other camera has all kinds of bells and whistles, and if I have time for a tripod, etc. I may use one of them, but for everyday use I find myself grabbing my ever-ready Nikon COOLPIX! If it gets lost or stolen from my car, I just buy another one on eBay at a very reasonable price . . .

        Knew what I was buying.

        I already own one, It has been a really great camera, bought in new a number of years ago. Use it for my HOA inspection business but dropped it on the concrete. Still took great photos but the battery door was cracked and kept popping open. Bought this one I am reviewing for the case but the used camera sure looks brand new to me. It also works great so I retired the old one and now use this one exclusively. Great price!

        nice everyday camera for my work.

        These are great little cameras. I use mine for work and take thousands of photos a year. Since the power source is 2 AA batteries, it is easy to have spare batteries with me so the camera is always ready to use. Great lens and zoom range.

        the good: great imaging quality for your dollar, especially for taking in a great deal of detail in medium-range shots indoors or outdoors no internal battery to go bad, and only 2 AA batteries (commonest & cheaply available) needed a wide variety of modes and settings at your fingertips, but works anyway if you set them wrong (just not as well) flash, focus, and optical zoom features 1-camera 3D and 1080P lenses store compactly behind automatic lens cover SD slot contacts are well made the bad: no interchangeable lenses for it to find, unlike some higher-end models The 3D and 1080P can't be used at the same time. the battery door hinge is fragile
