Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2013 im Fachbereich Romanistik - Spanische Sprache, Literatur, Landeskunde, Note: 1,7, Heinrich-Heine-Universitat Dusseldorf (Philosophische Fakultat), Veranstaltung: Basisseminar: Kognitive Semantik, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ein Baum ist ein Baum und ein Hund ist ein Hund. Eine einfache Feststellung hinsichtlich hunderter Dinge, die wir taglich als bekannt voraussetzen und unterbewusst in unseren kognitiven Systemen einordnen. Aber warum sehen wir einen felligen Vierbeiner und denken an einen Hund? Und warum kategorisieren wir die hochgewachsene holzige Pflanze im Wald vor unseren Augen als Baum und nicht als Lebewesen, Pflanze oder gar Buche oder Birke? Eine doch nicht mehr ganz so einfache Frage, der in dieser Ausarbeitung unter Bezugnahme der so genannten Merkmals- und Prototypensemantik auf den Grund gegangen werden soll. Es wird zunachst der Begriff des Prototyp geklart und beschrieben, was man sich darunter in der Sprachwissenschaft vorzustellen hat. Der Begriff des damit eng zusammenhangenden sprachwissenschaftlichen Teilbereichs der Semantik wird ebenfalls kurz erlautert. Um zu erfahren auf welchen Grundlagen die Prototypensemantik aufbaut, wird im ersten Teil der Arbeit die Herangehensweise zur kognitiven Kategorisierung durch die ursprungliche Merkmalssemantik geschildert. Im weiteren Verlauf wird dann ein Blick auf die daraus resultierende Prototypentheorie und ihre, zur klassischen Merkmalssemantik kontraren, Erkenntnisse unter Zuhilfenahme oft rezipierter Beispiele geworfen. Im weiteren Verlauf wird untersucht, ob die klassische Merkmalssemantik und die Prototypentheorie auch auf abstrakte Konzepte angewendet werden koennen, nur eine von beiden Anwendung findet, oder beide Theorien so mangelhaft sind, dass sie lediglich bei Konkreta funktionieren. Zudem stellt sich die Frage, ob sich im Laufe der Zeit ein Wandel der Merkmal / Prototypizitat feststellen lasst. Zur UEberprufung werden funf spanisch-sprachige Lexikoneintrage
