      Straightforward and Rugged

      Great radio that has just the right amount of bells and whistles to do the job. Very nicely designed for ease of use. No sharp edges you can get snagged or scraped on. Radio is very sturdy and pleasing to look at.

      Radio is in great shape but I almost ret...

      Radio is in great shape but I almost returned it. After I gave it a good cleaning. I hooked it up and everything functioned properly. My only complaint is why do you use self tapping screws for the mobile mount. Very disappointed.

      One more Yaesu in the shack!

      Great radio! Heavy as a brick - all heat sink. Solid 85w (toned down for local repeaters). Billboard-size display. Easy programing with RT Systems software/cable (I'm through messing with Yaesu's manuals). Gave my FT-2800 to my newly licensed Bro-in-law. 73! KN6LD
