        I GREW UP WITH THE MONKEES

        I really liked the show when I was growing up. Our entertainment choices back then were somewhat limited, not like today. It is entertaining and humorous, although if someone hasn't seen The Monkees, they might think it is a little silly and goofy. I think the quality of the DVD is good and I'm very happy with it.

        Had to be there

        The Monkees were a pre-fab phenomenon whose depth surprised the critics and their contemporary musical greats alike. The series was groundbreaking in several ways and won way more awards than most folks think. If you don;t know "The Monkees" you will likely find the series campy and silly much like the other sixties hits. But if you were there, this is a great set of inexpensive nostalgia all the way to the built in Kellogg's commercials.
