      Almost Perfect

      This is a great reel. Light weight, smooth and powerful, it is everything you would expect from Shimano. The only downside is the star drag can creep on you. Check it often until you get used to the reel to know it’s gonna stay put. I think this is a problem when it is new but goes away after use.

      Tranx 400 my go to reel

      Great reel the Tranx 400 Hg is a workhorse the last time out I was throwing 42 gram Colt snipers went 8 for 11 on 20 - 34 lb yellowfin tuna the reels has not failed with about 60 tuna up to 45 lbs this season I have 4 of them set up with 25-30 mono and 65lb max Quattro braid for backing for better line capacity

      The Tranx 400 is a key piece to any arsenal. Perfect for your medium size fish to your westcoast yellows. You’d be amazed how much power this small little reel holds. In my opinion there is no comparable reel, when comparing power, build quality & smoothness.
