    Yamaha YDG2030: A fantastic digital EQ!

    I had been looking for one of these for a while, as they are long discontinued. Once I finally found one I liked, I took a chance on Yamaha's legendary build quality, and bought one off the 'Bay for 85 bucks. As soon as I integrated this into my system, it was like a veil had been lifted from my audio. The superb clarity and crystal stereo imaging were immediately obvious as a welcome and surprising upgrade. I had read that the YDG2030 initially retailed for $2,300.00, but was skeptical. No longer. This is high-end fidelity that falls squarely into the you-get-what-you-paid-for category. The EQ provides flexible, accurate parametric control of upper and lower band pass filters, 4 sweep-able notches with variable "Q", and an additional sweep function for quickly finding those ...
