    2009 remastered reissue import 180-gram vinyl LP. This is the only remastered import of Alice in Chains' best-loved album "Dirt" pressed on to 180-gram audiophile vinyl. Hard-hitting and dark, this alt. Metal classic from 1992 focuses heavily on vocalist/guitarist Layne Stanley's heroin addiction. Few artistic endeavors have as completely explored an addict's perspective with such clarity and emotion. Bandmate vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell contributes heavily, not only with thematically tight songs, but as a force pushing through Stanley's addiction, keeping the songs and album on pace. Hits from "Dirt" include "Rooster," "Would?," "Angry Chair," "Down in a Hole" and "Them Bones." The album peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200 chart.

        Alice in Chains "Dirt" is the essential album in any metal, rock, or alternative music collection.

        For me Alice in Chains blew everyone's mind in the early 90's with the "Dirt" album, and where the front runners of the "Seattle Sound". Sorry Nirvana... "Dirt" is an epic trip through addiction and life from those that lived it. A dark and amazing journey that you must experience in analog. Tape or LP... No compressed through the ether crap. This is a quality 180 gram reissued in 2009, and sounds amazing on a good turntable. If I am not mistaken it is not a remastered edition so you are getting the fidelity from the Master Tapes, and not a sampling digital monstrosity. If you do not own this album stop whatever you are doing and get it now. Like stop reading and get it!

        Great record, A Bad pressing, unfortunately.

        What really can I doth decree? Occasionally with vinyl you just get a subpar pressing. Not a strike against the seller. It just is what it is. Vinyl can be a fickle mistress. The opening crescendo of Them Bones played beautifully. Crisp, smooth. By the time we made our musical journey to Down In A Hole the flaws were being coming apparent. Skips, pops, crackles. Never the mind, that be part of the vinyl experience.

        A MUST HAVE.

        If you are like me and cant find the deep pocket it would take to get the original studio alnlbum and love listening to alice in chains. This is a very sweet deal. Besides the TRUE feeling of owning the original album this re-issue still pounds out the great music you would hear from it. Get it.... open it... and just jam out!!!!!!

        Alice in chains, DIRT

        Bought this album to display. Will never play it. I liked the albums graphics and it looks great along side 100's of other albums with great graphics like Zappa's HOT RATS I have it displayed in my basement man room Is it a good value? for me it was Good quality? The outside graphics are perfect but I can't tell you about the vinyl because I won't open it up
