    New knobs don't fit the speaker. If i did route out my vintage speaker cabs to make them fit, theyd cover the writing, stick out way too far and look really bad. Going to live in my top drawer instead.

    We have sold thousands of these for all different models of AR speakers and this is the first time we've heard of them not fitting. You must not have AR speakers. Also, if you used the two nuts that came with them, you should be able to position them to be about a 3/8 inch protrusion. Sorry you didn't agree with the shipping. You can hardly ship even an envelope package for less than $4.00 as ebay requires tracking.
