We paid extra for 2-day shipping but weren’t given a tracking number to check the status. Since we didn’t know where the shipment was and it took longer than expected, we ended up buying another one elsewhere. When we expressed our frustration to the seller, they immediately apologized, refunded the entire transaction including shipping, and told us to keep the drive. Excellent customer service and a great example of taking care of the customer.

Outstanding seller! We had a slight issue with the purchase not having the correct bracket on the devices. I contacted the seller and he responded immediately, apologized, and immediately shipped out the correct replacement parts. Excellent communication through the entire process, and overall an outstanding purchase. Highly recommended seller!

I still need to install the drives but the seller is on top of his game when it comes to customer service. I accidentally left my old work address as my shipping address. I saw it right after I ordered so I sent a message to the seller asking if the order could be sent to my home address. I heard back that unfortunately they were shipped to the address I provided but there were options to consider. I decided to just go get them. They arrived at my house 3 days after I ordered them. EXCELLENT!

Minimum Necessary Motherboard for a Generic Server

The Xyratex 0944037-03, also known as the Xyratex HS-1235T-ATX, supports 2 CPU's, 12x DDR3 RAM slots of both registered, and non-registered variants. It took me a bit to understand that I "HAD" to power it with 2x 4x2 12v power connectors. This also requires a Server or Pro series OS to make use of both CPU's. Supports an ASPEED on-board graphics adapter heavily suited for text, and offloads a lot of the graphical bits inefficiently as CPU instructions, and can cause a lot of stutter. Although it supports 7 PCI lanes, they're limited to PCIe x8, and required adapters, or a special GPU to get away from the on-board graphics. The Board is completely obsolete as far as support goes, but Windows does a nice job at providing the basics needed. There was also a LOT of CPU noise that I couldn't ...

Understand its limitations before you buy

If this would have worked, I would have been able to write a better review. However, I never did get it to power up. I have many matched pairs of 5670s and 5645s with countless RAM sticks and nothing worked. I have three dual 8pin EPS 1000 watt PSUs and that was not the issue either. This board is a OEM solutions motherboard designed for a specific OEM chassis. There are no CPU fan power ports or system/case fan ports. I spent the better part of a day scouring the internet looking for a manual, schematic, pinout guide, or whatever I could find for documentation to figure out the front panel connectors... This board is a ghost in the internet. I couldn't find a thing. Maybe it's just me, but I cannot recommend this board.

You can get pretty good peformance from it, compared to i5 2500k price difference is 15$ vs 120$, and performance difference only bout 20-25%.... well i guess its not worth to buy i5..... thats why i builded my ...

  • Used to upgrade a stock Dell T3500 workstation.

Xeon processors are for Server and Workstation systems with CPU intensive operations. Since the performance of current generation processors has surpassed Xeon's from the late 2000's these are not used as much anymore. Few individuals shelled out hundreds of dollars for the better Xeon's back then. This processor can now be had for a great price. If you are still using an older workstation this is a great upgrade. It is not going to make your gaming any faster as that is all handled by the GPU in your video card. But for editing and mixing and even creating music or video projects which I am doing on Linus this was perfect.

  • Great CPU

Purchased 2x of the X5570 for a HP Z800 workstation, the CPUs arrived on time and in great condition. After a bios update, I stress tested the two CPUs and they performed amazingly! Didn’t overheat, clock speeds we stable and Were so much faster than the CPUs they replayed
