String got broken when cut the strawberry. No way to fix it.
I was cutting the strawberry and one of the strings broke. The distance between strings is too small. I would like to cut cubes, it can cut only stripes. Too much for such narrow use tool, also it is unreasonably big and takes space in drawer

I do a lot of fruit and vegetable dehydrating. One of my favorites to dry are mushrooms. I usually slice sveral piunds at a time. Mushrooms tend to dull knives so you have to clean it many times. With the Westmark Germany Multipurpose Stainless Steel Wire Egg & Mushroom Slicer I don't have any problems the thin but sturdy wire cuts right through my mushrooms with no problems. The slices are perfect and if you lay the mushrooms, cap side down, it cuts through the mushroom much easier. Great design
This is a great slicer which I use almost daily to slice hardboiled eggs and occasionally for non-pitted olives or strawberries. It washes beautifully in the dishwasher. It is a replacement for the same model purchased several years ago that partially broke when accidentally cutting an olive that still had a pit.
