    Comfortable, but not enough db reduction

    I've only used these earplugs for part of one evening listening to several bands at a festival. They were reasonably priced. They felt comfortable in my ears but I did worry about not being able to grasp the tiny tabs to get them out. I didn't need to wear them long before concluding that they didn't offer enough db reduction for these loud rock bands and switch to my 33db foam earplugs (sound like crap but I've got to save what's left of my hearing) . I think the Planet Waves would be fine for lower volume situations: jazz, acoustic, movie theater, etc. Now, anyone want to buy some slightly used earplugs? I'm contemplating splurging for some custom made earplugs.

    Love those earplugs!!

    I only use those earplugs. They are so comfortable and don't irritate your ear a bit (I used different kinds of earplugs and they irritated my ears. I got a bacterial infection from one kind!). Great for live concerts but also for napping. You can easily sleep with them. They muffle the sound in an even way so you don't hear "weird". The decibel decrease though is not of the highest. Maybe not enough for hardcore metal concerts or super loud electro music shows.
