I knew this would be a refurbished vacuum but I never thought that it would perform so poorly. The battery lasts 10 minutes and needs to be recharged for a full 24 hours just to work another 10 minutes. I have resorted to buying an after market replacement battery. Any other lower cost cordless vacuum would be better than wasting the money on this. Definitely do not recommend.

There is a miscommunication between the seller and the courier delivery company. Contacted courier and seller several times and issue was not resolved. Still have not received the vacuum.

Works well - no complaints on performance. Battery life does take some getting used to (vs a corded vacuum) but it is as expected based on all the info I read ahead of time. It is quite loud though and occasionally I find that my hand hurts a bit if I'm doing a larger area - not so much that it's unusable or I need to stop but it is noticeable.

Good product, but low battery life
I like my vacuum cleaner much, however the battery life is poor. Getting about 15 to 20 minutes work and waiting 5 hours for a recharge is not efficient. It is a shame they don’t have an easily interchangeable battery. Maybe they will catch up to some of the opposition some day. In hindsight, I would have gone with a vacuum cleaner that has an interchangeable battery as 1 st priority

Nice cordless vacum. good power and battery life.
The V8 Dyson is a nice reliable product . I am however concerned that the empty system could fail down the road. all of the empty system is made of plastic that will most likely fatigue after extended use.

Great except for the need for an adapter for other Dyson attachments
This is a replacement for our old Dyson hand held vacuum (DC16) that met its end accidentally after over 12 years of use and one generic battery replacement. I couldn't see anything on this refurbished one making it look used. Works great. One of the main reasons I choose to go with a Dyson again was to be able to use the attachments from our old DC16 and our current DC37 vacuum. I was going to purchase a lower model and at the last minute choose this instead. I didn't read up on it enough to realize that you need an adapter to use other attachments from our other/old Dysons. I was able to purchase a generic adapter to remedy this, but honestly I've been using the attachments it came with more often than not. I've ended up using this machine much more often then my DC 37 as it picks better then I though it would off of bare floors and carpet.

Lightweight and easy to use
I have only had the V8B cordless for a few weeks so my review is based on that time frame. The moment I got it I knew I had made the right choice. Both my wife and I have server health issue which make cleaning difficult to start with. We had a Dyson stand-up roller ball full sized machine. For me it was getting more difficult to use because of it's weight and the electrical cord. don't get me wrong, it is a great machine but too large after we got rid of the carpets in the house. The V8B is lighter and easier to use. Even my wife agrees and she is hard to please!!!! LOL Our cleaning lady tried it the other day and was totally impressed. It is a wonderful machine. The only negative is the shortened warranty period on the refurbished machines.
