I've got 3 DACs in my home 1 on each of 2 stereos that were $600+ each and I keep a portable AudioEngine D3 in my briefcase that I use with my my PC and shure earphones when I'm travelling. But I spend alot of time my car and got tired of the flat harsh sound that kept coming off my phone. My Car stereo is a very high end Lexicon System with 500 Watts of Power and 17 Speakers. For Radio and CD the sound is incredible, but the Bluetooth transmission was, well typical bluetooth sound, compressed and dull. Because of that I often just plugged the the phone into the audio system with a 3.5mm Aux cable and it sounded a little better, but let;s face it, phones are not designed for pristine audio playback, so even with a direct wire I was a getting a harsh sound. Thats why I bought this BT DAC. I first wrote to the seller with lots of questions and they responded almost immediately, so that was good and I decided to order it. It showed up in about a week and half which was unbelievably quick - but more importantly - this thing sounds incredible. In the car it really produces a beautiful rich warm sound. It enhances the low end frequencies with out over extending and muddying them and it cleans up all the mid and high frequency treble with over extending them either, taking all the harshness out. I tied in my home plugged into a B&O sound system and the audio there was also clean, rich and warm, inspite of the limitations of Bluetooth Audio. Satisfied, I took it out to the car where is now installed under the passenger seat. I ran the USB power cable and the 3.5mm aux cable down the inside groove of the center console and plugged it all in nice and neat. Now Ive got a neat cable free cockpit, the phone connects to the DAC instantly (even before the stereo powers up) and the sound coming from the phone to the stereo is just lovely; far richer and cleaner than with aux cable direct - it reall does produce very pleasing sound. I cant recommend this BT DAC enough. It really does go head to head with AudioEngine B1 which is 2.5 times the price. And this version (the BlueDento BLT - HD) is Bluetooth 5.0 with aptx HD which gives you all kinds of future proofing. I also looked at the BlueDento BLT-2 and almost bought it because it was roughly $20 less and my phone is only BT 4.2, but I figured I'll upgrade my phone before a buy another Bluetooth DAC so for $20 I migh as well take the upgraded DAC ad be ready for my next phone. If it sounds this good now, the aptxHD in the next phone will sound phenomenal and this device is ready for it!

Sound on this little unit is really good! Granted I'm not running audio to it from an AptxHD equipped phone, just regular BT with 16bit/192k files, but it suits my needs. I have it running to a Marantz preamp >> Arcurus 100 power amp >> Definitive Tech sub >> Anthony Gallo CL-2 speakers. Running redbook CDs through a Topping D50 DAC has better sound, but the BluDento is much better than the Prozor BT receiver/headphone amp I had before. The music through the Prozor had no demension, not to mention the RCA outs were not line level so I really had to crank the preamp's volume up. That, plus the Prozor was not very quiet. The next step would be to get a good AptxHD transmitter hooked up to my computer and play uncompressed files like FLAC. The BluDento would really shine in my system like ... Great sound, a pity there is no power switch
I am very impressed by the quality of the sound delivered by this little machine. Extremely crisp and clear, perhaps lacking a bit of warmth in the mid-range but this is so much better than what a smartphone or a computer would produce by itself. It is just a pity there is no power switch on the device. I don't see why.
