    Glad to have the Sermon

    The Sermon was the first Jazz albumin that made me a total Jazz lover when I was a youngster as a matter of fact I had all Blue Note albums that was made up until I eighties saw Jimmy Smith every time he came to New York Made a mistake when I sold all my vitals because of vinals going out of business I guess my vinals went to Japan Neville

    A "Solid" effort by Organist Jimmy Smith !

    One of Jimmy's earlier releases of the late 1950's. Always liked his recordings with guitarist Kenny Burrell as the organ/guitar thing always seemed to work for me. Definitely hard bop jazz with a good swing and nice grooves ! Not essential but a solid recording from one of jazz's best organist !!

    This is a superb recording, excellent in every way.

    There isn't a single thing about this intire recording that need any adjustments at all. The only thing that I can say is it isn't long enough. Hope that everyone will enjoy every bit of it. Thanks for this recording.

    He has done better things - this is not bad, just fair.

    I bought "The Sermon" from memory (I'm old) Give me "Hobo Flats" on a CD & I'll jump for joy. This is "nice" - like a girl that you'r not going to date regularly. O K - just not FINE.
