Recorded at the Union Chapel in Islington, London, on December 12, 2003, this program features a live performance by Procol Harum, one of the most popular prog rock bands of the late 1960s. The group landed at the top of the charts all over the world with their hit "A Whiter Shade of Pale." Melding thoughtful lyrics and an artfulness many of their of their peers lacked with heavy drums and guitar, the band still has retained a large, devoted fan base. This concert finds Procol Harum performing some of the best songs of their 40-year career, including "A Salty Dog," "Whisky Train," "Shine on Brightly," and many more.

    Procol Harum - Live at the Union Chapel

    This is a wonderful concert from this classic rock band. The package is extra cool because along with the full length DVD you also get a cd with much of the concert as a bonus. I love this band and it is great to see and hear original members Gary Brooker on vocals and piano & Matthew Fisher on organ, very finely augmented by the new recruits in the band. The level of musicianship is astounding,and while there are a few flubs here and there that is live rock and roll the way it was meant to exist,not the tape lip synching facade that passes for live entertainment today. Also these songs are great and the lyrics all by Keith Reid are poetic and NOT meaningless or pitched to the lowest common denominator. The English Chapel where this was performed makes a wonderful setting. Bravo to Procol ...

    Very good price

    The cape of the DVD arrived with a small cut, the problem was not due to transportation, because the package was put intact. The cds were ok.

    FOR THOSE THAT LIKED PROCOL YEARS AGO THIS WAS A REAL TREAT.MISSING WAS ROBIN TROWER BUT IT WAS A GREAT DVD.. I SAW THEM LIVE MANY TIMES AND THIS WAS QUITE A TREAT
