It's a PROFESSIONAL quality instrument that truly amazed me.
Heck, a week ago, I didn't even know who Billie Eilish was. I'm just a lucky geezer who has been playing a vintage Hawaiian Koa ukulele for years, and I fully expected to be UNDERwhelmed by this ukulele. WRONG! What an OUTSTANDING instrument. Fender's attention to detail and craftsmanship cannot be understated in this. My hip daughter scoffed at it as an "odd bit of branded merch" with which I had to agree, but... she too was impressed. The action is PEFECT, it plays like a dream. Playing scales of minor and 7th chords is my way of comparing the tonal qualities of ukuleles. It was better BY FAR than my fancy-schmancy Koa, albeit without the gravitas of being vintage Hawaiian. The fit and finish is FLAWLESS It rings like a bell and the sustain is ENDURURING Detail items like the ... Heck, a week ago, I didn't even know who Billie Eilish was. The frets themselves seem to be of a lighter gauge than most ukuleles, which surprised me for how effortlessly they made for crisp, clear chords. The preamp electronics by Fishman gives a HUGE sound boost, even when played through a lil' bitty15A practice amp. Do not be put off by the modest price. This is a PROFESSIONAL quality instrument in all ways that matter. My hat is off to Fender, and Ms. Eilish for attaching her name and reputation (and her curious Blohsh design, that's growing on me... slowly!) It's a keeper!
