I found the gauge seem to be off by 10°. The gauge read 10° lower than it should have. I heated up water on the stove and used one of my cooking thermometers and compared the two. I was a little disappointed but as long as the gauge has a good lifespan it should work okay. It's always a good idea to check your device and ensure that it works as you would expect it to. As long as I know there's a 10° difference all the way up to boiling then that'll work.
