Players return to Sin City sidewalks seeking the scoop on a zombie outbreak, and find themselves neck-deep in fast-paced survival-horror action. Off the Record is a spin-off in the Dead Rising series that plays through the events of the sequel from the perspective of the original game's hero, Frank West.<br><br>In good Dead Rising style, the one-against-hundreds tension of a horror adventure is set off by the fast-paced carnage of an arcade action game, seasoned with unflinching violence and a gruesome sense of humor, and set in an open, sandbox-style world. Although the Fortune City surroundings and zombie monsters -- as well as the photojournalist hero -- will be familiar to series veterans, the game's story follows a new path through the events of the second undead outbreak, with original cut-scenes, missions, puzzles, enemy types, and creatively re-appropriated zombie-killing gear. As in the first Dead Rising, Frank can snap candid photos of his zombie victims, in their most horrid and amusing moments, to earn Prestige Points and unlock special abilities. Technical improvements make for shorter load times and smoother play than in previous Dead Rising games.

    Best in the series!

    I've played them all. Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, Dead Rising 2, Dead Rising 2: Case West, and now, Dead Rising 2: Off The Record. I'm a hardcore fan of this amazing series, and I'll tell you, this one takes the gold home. They finally implemented the very needed "Sandbox" mode. No Zombrex, No Story, No Stupid Survivors. Just fool around and kill everything. And we get back our favorite reporter, Frank West, as he uncovers an even weirder story than our other friend, Chuck Greene. 3 new Psychopaths are added, including someone we all know, Someone we all don't care about, and a big surprise. If you're a big fan of the series, you need this game!

    DR2:off the record!!

    One if my favorite games ever! The sandbox mode is fantastic. I actually own this on ps3 but just bought another copy on xbox360 for my son. Dead Rising is fun for the whole family.
