Easy to use and for toughest jobs
I have both styles of the expand-it series upper motor confugurations that allows me to balance the tools with the motor weight. Both are powerful and are really loight weight compared to the gas models I have. Used the string trimmer to clean 600' if ditch bank one one 40v 6MAh battery. String trimmer problems and missing parts
Did not come with the guard that goes over the string trimmer. Will have to try to order it on line. It is needed. Otherwise, it is a good trimmer but wish that it was complete. It was not and it showed it on the box but it was not included. Felt that the order was incomplete! I would recomend it but wish that it had been complete as ordered. Will cost more that we expected if we can get the guard by itself. Not completely happy with the order.Did not come with the guard that goes over the string trimmer. Defective Battery
I just used this trimmer item for the first time this season and the the included battery shows up as defective in the charger. It won’t charge or work in any device. The charger blinks red/green which indicates a defective battery. See the pictures below. The trimmer works fine with the 4ah batteries that I have from other ryobi tools. Can you please send me a replacement battery?

RY40250 string trimmer.
I am happy that I bought the better string trimmer. It has plenty of power. Very easy to change the string line. Some other reviews mention that it is heavy. It is but the added run time from the 4AH battery is well worth it. It is also easy to break down if you need to bring it some where else.
