The Heil PR 35 is a versatile wireless handheld microphone. It is designed for situations that call for a smooth, flat response that require consistent feedback. It has a precise, natural mid-range that accurately reproduces vocals. The Heil PR 35 is intended for commercial broadcast, recording, and live sound reproduction. It has a wide frequency and adapts to use in a variety of situations. Since the Heil PR 35 has excellent rear rejection and no off-axis coloration, it is described as a supercardioid and an omni microphone in one package. An integrated sorbothane shock mount gives you the best audio results possible. Expect clear, dynamic vocal quality from the Heil PR 35. The Heil PR 35 microphone has a frequency response of 40 Hz to 18 kHz without the filter and 80 Hz to 18 kHz with the filter on. To adjust the low frequency filter, use a screwdriver on the filter push button switch at the bottom of the mic. This built-in roll-off switch in the mic’s stem allows the Heil PR 35 to adjust to its environment and adapt well to even the roughest acoustical situations. It also has a cardioid polar pattern that filters out unwanted audio and connects via three-pin XLR. The output level of the Heil PR 35 is -52.9 dB at 1kHz, and its max SPL is 140 dB. An aluminum 1.5” low mass voice coil gives excellent performance, along with a neodymium, iron, and boron magnet assembly. A humbucking coil in the PR 35 serves well to prevent any audio interference from surrounding electronic devices like amps or video monitors. The Heil PR 35 stacks up well against high-end condenser mics for the dynamic and accurate sound it delivers. However, it improves by reducing feedback and filtering out unwanted sound. The body of the Heil PR 35 microphone has a matte black rubberized finish for a sure grip with a tapered design that is thinner at the bottom. It is comfortable to hold no matter what you use it for. The Heil PR 35 microphone measures 7.67 inches long and is 1.97 inches wide at its thickest point. It weighs a comfortable nine ounces. Superior to other recommended standards (Shure, Sennheiser, Telefunken, MXL)
Three way adjustable first rate mic. Great for vocals. Outperforms several Shures, MXL's, Sennheiser and M80 Telefunken. Our church has been sampling mic's recommended by users across a number of online sites. The Heil PR35 proved to be a clearly superior sound and the mic of choice. We now own three Heil's and will likely purchase more as money becomes available.

Great mic but not for all vocalists
This is a very serious microphone with great sound BUT... it's not for every voice. Some people love a mic that's totally transparent and if that's what you're after, then this is your mic. 100% transparent. You sound like YOU. However, I prefer a mic with more dynamics. I use an EV 767 because it has a better mid range and a lot more treble frequencies. It doesn't sound as wide and big as the Heil but that doesn't really bother me because I prefer the frequencies the EV. It suits my voice really well. One thing for certain is that this mic sounds best for female vocalists or men with high screaming voices like James Brown or Axl Rose. I'm not a fan of this mic for Baritones. If you don't own this Mic you don't have the best the Industry has to offer
I have been a professional performing musician and recording artist for 40 years, and I have used a lot of good and marginal equipment. For all of us that do this for a living, we know the value of gear that really does the job and makes you shine. I have used all the brand names, and they are quality products to be sure, but the Heil PR 35 is the most superior vocal mic I have ever used, especially in price to performance. As more performers become aware of this mic, I believe it will become their No.1 microphone of choice! Not only is this superior in the studio for crystal clear and commanding vocals, it can not be touched in live performance. Heil has done a masterful job with this product. I hope they continue with this mic and build even better microphones in the future and not ... Best dynamic vocal mic in the biz
Bob Heil is awesome and his mics are amazing. The PR35 is used by Thom Yorke on stage (RadioHead). Need I say more? Did not think so. Forget the SM7 or RE20. Let the radio people use those. If you are a vocalist/singer recording in a less than flattering audio environment (pretty much all of us unless you are Diddy) do yourself a favor and buy a PR35. The bass is huge, the highs are clear, the mids are well rounded, just butter to the ears. And inexpensive too, available on wireless, I mean just awesome.
