  • Androgenous Glam Alien Being - Classic Bowie!

This was the first Bowie album I ever bought, back in the days of vinyl, it was possibly one of his most famous, and with tracks like Five Years, Moonage Daydream, Starman, Soul Love, Ziggy Stardust & Suffragette City, it was impossible not to get entirely hooked on Bowie, and of course Ziggy. I then made it my mission to collect everything Bowie had ever done before this album, and since. At the time I figured I might not have much to collect, given his tendency to retire, but the frequency of these retirements, and subsequent comebacks, has ensured a steady stream of additions to the collection. This album is best appreciated when listened to with young ears. ;-)

  • I WISH

I know, he just about invented "GLAM ROCK"..but I lived through the days of the early 70s...and I found his music to be TOO pretentious and "over the top" His "Androgenous " stage presence seemed to be just a gimmick to separate him from other lackluster artists from Jolly ole England. Thanks to mags like Creem who always over promoted him, he became a superstar and hero of the sexually confused angst ridden top forty radio public...and unfortunally he is considered a gifted icon who changed "rock& roll" to British Musical Theatre....with his cabaret histronics and weak song structures!

  • ziggy stardust

David Bowie has always been a fringe favorite artist of mine, this album is iconic and has stood the test of time, it's much more than the one or two songs we've all heard on the radio

  • Bowie at his Best

one of the best pop albums of all time, up there with my favorites: Pet Sounds, Sgt Pepper, Surrealistic Pillow, Dark Side of the Moon, The Who Sell Out, Boston, and on and on. best heard LOUD with earphones on so as not to disturb the neighbors, who are listening to their favorites WITHOUT earphones :)) you won't be dissapointed. it's unique and refreshing, lots of emotion in this one! this is Bowie at his Best.
