    It Works!

    Finally found one that works! Using an older small frame computer, tried 3 other VGA to HDMI converters and none had sound although they were supposed to transmit sound along with the picture. I installed a 3.0 USB card in the computer and then ordered this Targus HDMI converter and now have beautiful sound and picture on my 55 inch 4k (witch has no VGA input) TV streaming from the old computer with about $25 invested in the conversion project. Well pleased.

    Good solution multiple monitors needed

    had an extra monitor already connected to my laptop using only hdmi port. wanted to connect another monitor that was also hdmi. First tried connect first monitor thru vga and then second one thru hdmi, which was fine but disabled the laptop screen. This converter/adapter allowed me to connect a monitor thru usb and have all screens active. Simple setup of displaylink software and maintains monitor resolutions. Easy and cheap workaround.

    Video is Great

    This is my third try for a USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter and the only one that works well. The other two were different types from different sellers, and gave lots of problems. This is the best so far.

    Great product. My recommendation for usb to HDMI

    Product works as expected and then some. I wasn't expecting it to deliver more than a 1080p but I am running my second monitor at 2560 x 1440. Great product.

    useful when your computer lacks HDMI output

    This does not clone your computer screen, rather it acts as a second monitor that you can switch to and back using ctrl-space. Resolution was perfect. I used it with an HDMI recorder and flat screen TV without problems.
