Kind of a bizarre transaction. Days after purchasing I got a note saying that it was going to be shipped but if I wanted to pay more I could have it expedited. I chose not to and just wait. A few weeks went by and I asked for tracking information. Got another offer to pay more to expedite the shipping. I declined.     Tamiya large scale Porsche with extra features

    After making three of the 1/8 scale Pocher autos over the past 5 years, I was looking to downsize somewhat but still have a high quality model to build. I've built a number of the Tamiya cars (but not this one yet), and can recommend the brand without reservation. This Porsche racer is a beautiful product, and even has screws, tubing, springs, and also very high quality decals. The chrome and satin silver plating on some sprues is top notch! The special cobalt green spray paint for the body is a bit hard to find, but Tamiya makes it and a few eBay sellers carry it. This model is a bit pricey, but if you can afford it I feel you get a great value. It has lots of parts, so don't try to hurry it and only get it if you have patience and quite a bit of experience.

    Great model but.....

    This model is similar to all of Tamiya's products.Well thought out and well engineered. Unfortunately the Tamiya paint needed for a correct finish is not available yet nor have they given anyone a release date. It's great that they have released the model,too bad they haven't released the paint.I will not be building this until I can get the correct paint.

    Vaillant gold!

    In my humble opinion the Tamiya Porsche 934/935's are the looking and most detailed bang for the buck of race car models. This new edition in Vallant markings completes any Porsche race car collection. Bravo Tamiya!
