Kind of a bizarre transaction. Days after purchasing I got a note saying that it was going to be shipped but if I wanted to pay more I could have it expedited. I chose not to and just wait. A few weeks went by and I asked for tracking information. Got another offer to pay more to expedite the shipping. I declined. The package showed up the very next day, although it wasn't packed very well. Very odd. In the end I got the advertised item at a good price, so can't complain too much.

    Great Little camera

    Great little camera....we are Sony people...HDTV is Sony, Laptop is Sony, Desk top computer is Sony, Cameras are Sony. I like the way this camera fits in the palm of your hand. Takes great outdoor photos and videos. Pop out the memory and stick it in the computer or TV to view. It doesn't get any easier than that. I am not mechanically literate and it has to be simple for me. Like the Flip and all the other small little weight camcorders...it doesn't do well in low light situations...but it does have a small light to turn on that provides some but not much help. Good zoom features... All & all a great little pocket camera...

    Above average starter camera

    Great camera, great picture, very easy to use and upload video. I plan on using this camera for filming hunts, it should do great as long as there is enough daylight. Night or dark filming isn't very good. You can buy a seperate battery charger to plug into wall. i bought spare memory card and battery. On high def, the camera would "skip" around when panning the camera with a 2gb card. I have recently changed to an 8gb high speed card and havn't checked to see if thi solved the problem. All in all, i am very pleased with this camera!

    for amateur video people is worth the money!

    Well, I get this cam after searching a lot of other options. I needed a camcorder in HD to make videoreviews, nothing funzy just simple stuffs...I think this is perfect. I like the design, the screen, that accepts SDHC and memory stick and the colors of the video (very vivid!) I dont like: the glossy surface (finger tip marks), neither the software, is just kinda useless to me, and of course that charges via USB...that could be problem. This is my first camcorder in HD so far it works well and I like it, So if you are not a pro this could be a good start

    Great pocket Camcorder, glad I made the purchase.

    This is an awesome camcorder. Takes photos and great video. Its easy to use and great for a novice. Although this camera is not made anymore, its worth the hunt to find if you can find it. I wish it had different lighting exposures so that you can film in darker settings, but as long as you have good lighting you'l be fine. It does so much more than most pocket camcorders and even has optical zoom! The new sony pocket camcorders on the market right now don't even have optical zoom. I like the fact that its has the screen that opens so you can see yourself if your filming yourself. Great for blogging or vlogging. Great camera for the price I paid.

    Excellent Pocket Camcorder

    Just got this camcorder (upgrading from previous Sony MHS-PM5) and I think it was worth every buck. PROS: 5x optical zoom HDMI port up to FULL HD 1080p video recording works with Memory Stick Pro Duo AND SD Memories stability sensor low price No complicated software or video conversions to view or upload to the web CONS: charges only trough USB (a separated battery charger would be nice) does not come with HDMI/mini HDMI cable dark light shooting (expected for any camera under 1000 bucks) OVERALL: If you are looking for a portable, full HD pocket camcorder, very nice looking and with high quality video, under 200 bucks... This is the right camera for you! 4.8 out of 5 Hope this helps.
