The nut cracker is just as described . But it does not work as good as described because a woman does not have enough strength to pull the handle to crack walnuts . I had to put a 15 inch extension in the handle . I also think that it has a dangerous aspect that they don’t explain . When the nut breaks sometimes it explodes and the nut pieces scatter . So far it hasn’t hit and eye but if it did it would put out an eye. I am putting a face shield around the body to keep from getting hurt .

This black walnut cracker is easier to use than a vice. We can do a gallon of black walnuts a day = 1# nut pieces. Bob is good to talk to.. my husband and I took turns talking to this fine man. You better get this black walnut cracker quick, because Bob won't make these forever!

This is such a blessing! Much quieter than using a hammer to bang it against something. Works great! Love the fact that it is adjustable and has a small nut adapter. (Haven't used a small nut in it yet, just a few black walnuts.) Black walnut hulling and picking is upon us! Time to tell the nephews that your hands are that color because a bug bit ya and they'll fall off in a few weeks! (Or maybe that I'm turning into a zombie.
