Based on the Nickelodeon series, Avatar: The Last Airbender features four playable characters who blend elemental magic and martial arts by "bending" them. Also known as the "benders," Aang, Katara, Haru, and Sokka represent elemental organizations known as the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. Every hundred years, an Avatar is born into one of the tribes. The Avatar can use all four magics, and must keep the balance between each group. This time around, Aang is the Avatar, but his reign was cut short when some unexpected events left him in a frozen state for a century-long nap.<br><br>After waking up, Aang must put his world back together. In his absence, tribes started fighting and peace became a rare luxury. As Aang and his friends travel through the four kingdoms, they master their individual elements by learning new abilities and spells. Players will battle against familiar enemies, as well as baddies not seen on the show. The Wii Remote is used to cast magic with horizontal and vertical slices through the air, and each character can perform four specific elemental spells. For example, by holding the B button and pulling up on the controller, Katara can create a shield to protect her allies from enemy fire. The analog attachment is used to navigate the benders through the world, either overtly or in stealth mode.

    Great Game for the Younguns

    Love the cartoon series so I thought I'd check out the game for the Wii.. Ughh...this game is not for grown ups at all. I'm not saying it's a bad game just saying an adult will become bored very quickly. Some amazing Wii controls are a great addition but over all...You just end up mashing one button over and over again... Get this game if your kids love the cartoon....it has the same voice actors doing the script but the animation is cell shaded and not very resembled to the cartoon itself...I bet they would love playing it though...I enjoyed it for about a half hour then it became too repeatable. So get this game for your kids they will love it...If you are an adult...I'd advise renting it you can beat it fairly quickly.

    Avatar: The Last Airbender WII

    I Bought this for my son who loves the show. He is 8 and seemed to get the object of the game fast. The Graphics are good, but you do need to know how to read as most of the instructions and interaction with characters is reading as they respond when you first talk to them, then the rest of the conversation is reading their response. Also you have to really watch what buttons are pushed as the saving and using different controls is kinda of confusing and sensitive. Overall a good game that is worth having.

    Avatar - the last airbender Review (wii)

    The game is OK, mainly if you're a fan of the show, otherwise, you'll get bored pretty fast. I bought it because my son loves Avatar and so Do I, but sadly the game doesn't live up to the great show it's based on. Not a bad buy for the price I got it for, but to buy it at the full $40-$50 bucks at retail, I would have waited for the price drop. If you can score a good deal, and you're a fan, get a copy, it's pretty fun for a little while, which is how long it'll take for you to beat the game. But if you're not into the show at all, skip the game, or rent it.

    It's okay not the best

    I'm a huge fan of avatar and i have to say the game was just okay. The likes of the game is you get to do some water,air, and earthbending. The sound is actually amazing though the graphics could use some more work. Applying what the wii can do it doesn't involed much interactivity than moving the remote in simple up down left right motions for bending. The story for the game is also well written and it doesn't run exactly like the show so you get a new avatar experience. Main reasons for buying would be it's based on avatar a very good show.
