    Worked perfectly.

    Minn Kota said my trolling motor control board was bad and they no longer sold it. I saw that I had corrision on the ribbon cable at the Potentiometer so I ordered this part as a replacement. I had my son solder the wires of this product to the ribbon cable from my control board. He also sealed the connection to stop salt water from corroding it. I put everything back together and my RT80 24V trolling motor works perfect. I could've bought a new control board for $250 but this fixed my issue at a considerable savings.

    Problem solved

    After determining that the dead spot in my trolling motor was possibly the switch, I was happy to find that I could purchase just the potentiometer and not the whole unit. It arrived in quick fashion and was easy to install...and best of all, it took care of the problem!

    Repair is better than replacement.

    The part came with everything that you need to wire back into the control board. It took about 15 min. And was up and going again.

    Exact Replacement

    Just as described, exact replacement. Comes with instructions! I had hit the handle on my trolling motor pretty hard against a piling. Trolling motor quit working. After taking the cover off, found that the shaft on the potentiometer had sheared off.

    Check motor before replacing potentiometer

    This trolling motor is junk so check the motor first before replacing the potentiometer. Minn Kota issued an upgraded armature & brush set in Nov 2017 as they were failing due to overheating within 1 to 2 years. ..just past the 2 yr warranty!
