    Really good sounding mic for many uses and vocals. it does have some mojo on the top end too.

    Great full sound close to a U87 but has an airy top end. definitely has that tube sound.

    Exceptional mic, and a truly exceptional value.

    Like everyone who might buy this microphone, I am a producer/studio owner. I have very definite ideas about gear, how it's priced, how good a buy it is, etc. I chose this sE because it offers the best combination I could find of price vs. performance, in a large diaphragm TUBE condenser, especially for what I paid for it on eBay. After I decide on a piece of gear, I shop hard for it, and when great value for money arises, I bid hard. We all want magical, mystical Neumann mojo, and I suppose if money was no object, I would simply buy Neumann, if I felt that was the key to happiness. After a lifetime in music, however, it's not the gear that makes the magic--it's who is using it. I pick my gear because it's a reflection of how I make the magic: with brains and creativity, not money. ...
