About this product

Product Information

Heroes from two disparate publishers come together for three-on-three brawls in this continuation of the Marvel vs. Capcom tag-team fighting series. Projectile attacks, slams, jump kicks, punches, and over-the-top "hyper" combos are all possible with your choice of 32 characters. Representing Marvel are Iron Man, Deadpool, Storm, Magneto, Spider-Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, She-Hulk, Doctor Doom, Wolverine, Super-Skrull, X-23, Phoenix, M.O.D.O.K., and Dormammu.

Characters lifted from Capcom's vaults include Mike Haggar, Viewtiful Joe, Dante, Ryu, Morrigan, Chris Redfield, Felicia, Chun-Li, Trish, Amaterasu, Tron Bonne, Wesker, Nathan Spencer, Zero, Crimson Viper, and Arthur. A simple mode lets those new to the series perform combos with a single button press, while other difficulty settings require more intricate controls but rewards players with more attacks to choose from. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 also includes online support in a number of tournament-style play modes.

  • Addicted...

Having bough this game and playing this NONSTOP since its came out i would have to say im addicted! However, the game itself is so short that the overall rating i was going to give it fell. Not alot you can do besides arcade and online. Missions teach you the basics of the game and some moderate combos to start. Online mode is for the skilled. Test out what your made of in the online mode. It definately is not easy since your competing agains hundreds of thousands of people. Whats worse about this game is the character variety. Not alot of character faces in this game unlike Marvel v.s. Capcom 2 which has tons of them. Though i do gotta say the depth in which you have to learn your character is amazing. The enhanced move list in this game rocks! Alot of characters moves and they vary what ...

  • This is a good two player PS3 game

I am a 50 yr old gamer. I've been playing since I was too young to shave and had to get quarters from my mom to go play Asteroids at the local arcade. This game, Marvel vs Capcom 3 is a good game. I wanted a two player game so friends and family could get together and play here at the house. This is a decent two player game. The basic instructions are easy. However, if you read the rule book thoroughly, there are more advanced moves that are great. Still, you can play with little instructions until you get bored and decide to RTM. This game moves FAST. Players become a blur as they attack each other. Skill makes you a better player and the choices you have for your characters is decent.

  • Marvel vs Capcom 3

With it being the most highly anticipated during the prime era of the PS3, Marvel vs Capcom 3 stuns its audience with mind boggling gameplay and graphics that look almost unreal especially when fast paced matches are played. Each character has its own distinct and unique abilities that can be used as combos or assists which can lead to serious competition and very rewarding to see your attacks and strategies executed correctly on your opponent. This game also comes with alot of fanservice content and I found some of it to be very deep and memorable. This is a true game to its series and is definitely worth playing.

  • Still going strong!

The Marvel Vs. Capcom series is still going strong after all of these years. At first I was disappointed that there were less characters than the 2nd game, but after playing with several characters and realizing how unique each one's fighting style is, you can actually spend a lot of time learning each character and getting a feel for them, which lends the game more playability. The graphics are a gorgeous blend of 2-d comic book and 3-d fighting game. Hyper combos look flashier than ever and are so much fun to pull off! However, the game is short. The arcade mode ends quickly and leaves more to be desired. Mission mode is good and online mode is fun (if you're a skilled player) but there needs to be more to this game to justify the over ten year wait! So for that I will dock it a ...
