  • Bobby Driscoll....one of the best child actors in history

It was the acting of Driscoll that carried this movie. He was such a natural you didn't even feel he was acting. Too often we discount what children have to say, yet their perception is the purest testimony available. Adult perception is warped by their life experience which tends to bend reality in favor of their bias. Too bad Disney tossed him out like some used up trash and then he got involved with Andy Warhol....died of drug overdose at a young age.

  • Great Movie!

They made a great movie about one of life's lessons that you learn as a child. They did a great job with some very good acting. The end will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. I saw this when I was a kid and was scared to death. Give it a try, I think you'll like it. I did.

  • Exciting as depicts life in that era…

A boy who likes to embellish and make up stories to impress others phones nobody will believe him when he reports that he has seen a murder… Well done!

  • Great movie

Great movie, simple story but it is so well acted , Bobby Driscoll is great , so much emotion for such a little guy, great cast who brings the whole story together.

  • Good "film noir" example of the period.

I had seen this movie on TV many years ago, and I was impressed with how tense the situation of the young boy was. It was just as I had remembered it.
