I ordered the 8mm thickness and made it work, the 5mm may have been more of the correct thickness but the old seal was so deteriorated i didn't have much reference. make sure to measure your shaft and barrel size if you are trying to find a replacement for a porta power as it seems they vary widely with all of the different brands.
