    C.S. Osborne 5 in. blade Head Knife

    I love this. Great value. The quality is excellent. C.S. Osborne, what else needs to be said. The only drawback is I wish it had some kind of case it had been shipped in. Wrapped with paper isn't quite what I was expecting. Maybe a cardboard temporary case?

    Dull and duller

    While the Osborne name has had a reputation for quality and the other Osborne products I purchased were the quality I’d expect, this round knife arrived duller than dull. It took a lot of work to put a good edge on it and I’m not sure it will hold.

    This is a knife?

    I own and have collected knives my whole life. This is a piece of heat treated punched out sheet metal with a low grade wood handle. Barely sharpened on a belt sander and it's meant to cut through thick sheets of leather? But this sells for $45-55, is this a joke? If I saw this in person I would never buy it.

    One of the best investments I ever made as a leathersmith- not as hard to use as they seem either.

    Do yourself a favor and just buy it- you'll be glad you did if you're like me and have some issues with cutting tight curves in leather smoothly- this thing glides through it like butter once you get it sharpened up really sharp and polished out right. Plus you can do rolling cuts and skiving- I don't see how i ever got along without one now.
