Parfums Grès is a perfume house founded in Paris by Germaine Émilie Krebs and associated with the French fashion house Grès. The designer became famous for producing haute couture designs for royal families and celebrities of her time such as the Duchess of Windsor, Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo and Jacqueline Kennedy. The brand created its first perfume Cabochard in 1958 and continued launching series of exquisite fragrances even after the selling of the company in the 80’s.

    This is a beautiful fragrance and one of my favorites. I receive many compliments when I wear it at work. This is a long lasting fragrance, no need to reapply during the day. It only takes a small amount and it makes me feel happy. Thank you

    Stinky.

    The only thing good about this is the bottle. This must be an imitation fragrance inside. I assumed the name Cabotine, which is the name of a fragrance by Gres, was made by the beloved French house of Gres, but after using it, I doubt it The fragrance is not good, although the bottle is real crystal with a plastic stopper of beautifully molded pink blossoms. The faint rose smell is harsh and does not last ten minutes. I feel certain that the beloved French perfume brand, Gres, was not behind this recipe. I have since read that many famous brands are being copied with inferior ingredients. The box is definitely French and beautifully embossed. Too bad the fragrance stinks.

    A classic fragrance by the Gres

    Created in 1990, this is a lovely fragrance with a blend of citrus, ginger and fresh flowers. It's not an overwhelmingly powerful fragrance but it's lovely just the same. I don't know about the eau de parfum's fragrance as I didn't buy it in this form. The eau de toilette is a perfect summer fragrance.

    fresh and clean casual scent

    This fragrance collects a spring bouquet of flowers, not just rose. It's a nice flowery mix. It's perceived around you without a trail for a couple of hours.

    Enjoyed previous Cabotine fragrance, but not this one.

    I have enjoyed previous Cabotine scents in the past. I bought this as a gift. I was very disappointed with the quality of the fragrance. It smelled like it had a big portion of alcohol or some chemical base to it. It actually made my nose hurt after smelling it. In all fairness, the rose scent that lingered was not terrible, but I will never buy this fragrance again.
