Product Information

A hired killer accidentally blinds a beautiful nightclub singer during what was supposed to be his last murder. When he falls in love with her and accepts another contract in order to finance her cornea surgery, the stage is set for a long and bloody confrontation. A boisterous bullet opera from Woo, tempered as usual with his fascination with the notion of the honorable killer and with the doubling of similar men whom circumstances have placed on opposite sides of the law. Very heavy on the Catholic imagery and redemption motifs.

    THE KILLER is great movie!

    Thank goodness for the English voice overs - I wouldn't be able to enjoy it with some of my friends... Lots of action, good story and a movie I will watch again and again.

    The Killer

    During a restaurant shoot-out, hitman Jeff accidentally hurts the eyes of a singer. Later, he meets the girl and discovers that if she does not have a very expensive operation very soon, she will go blind. To get the money for the surgery, Jeff decides to perform one last hit. The cop who has been chasing Jeff for a long time, is determined to catch him this time. The first time I saw this movie it was on cable and my jaw hit the floor. This is a good movie. There is some corny dialog and chinese humor but that doesn't take away from the movie. "The Killer" is one of those movies that delivers entertainment from beginning to end. This is must-see movie.

    Old and Subbed = This sucks

    I hate the fact that this movie was released as a new movie when it is very old. A movie this old on a re-release should be dubbed at the least. I recomend this movie to no one, even if you like woo or chow yun fat this movie sucks in todays standards. Chow yun fat is a third rate martial artist as it is, and without any good kung fu scenes this movie is the worst.

    one of the best ever

    if you're into action movies then you might want to check this out... it really didnt have dull moment. it had all the ingredients to make it a perfect entree of bullet blazing gunplay. it was simply spectacular.right up there with the best action movies ever
