classic above the law CD
I finally recopped this cd again. I first purchased it in 1994, but it was confiscated in 97 so 11 years later I am reunited with "Uncle Sams Curse". I must admit the main reason I got the cd was because of the last track called Gangsta Madness. Kokane Nicky & joanna bless the background vocals on this track & KMG & Cold 187um kick some soulful lyric that you can feel. The second track Set Free is my next favorite track followed by Black Superman. The othernine tracks are good also. cd is still reelevent damm near 15 years later.I finally recopped this cd again. This is probably Above The Law's best album in regards to all around production! Very rare and hard to get, this album features KOKANE on the cut KALIFORNIA (which has an GIGILOS GET LONELY TOO - The Time sample). This album is a mentally conscious album and if youlisten to the lyrics talks about gangs, prison, and the whole THUG LIFE concept effecting young black and hispanic men then and NOW!! The commercials are dope and either makes you laugh or smile. Cold 187um is at his producers best on this album and KMG the Illustrator is on point! If you can find this album it is a keeper!!! I had it and someone stole it, so I'm glad I got it back!! Still looking for KOKANE's -FARENHEIGHT SLOW BURNIN album!!!This is probably Above The Law's best album in regards to all around production! Uncle Sam's Curse
2nd full length LP from Above The Law is a slept on and rare release classic. A step above Livin Like Hustlers in its production & lyrics. Worth paying good money to get. Good luck.
