    Great for true Modest Mouse fans

    Isaac Brock is practically an idle to me; unfortunately his talent remains unknown to many. "This is a Long Drive For Someone with Nothing to Think About" was the first official release from Modest Mouse (Interstate 8 was made before, but was never really put out and was forgotten about). Those new to Modest Mouse will probably not take a liking to this, for it is different than typical mainstream music, and Brock's voice has to grow on you for some bit before you can actually appreciate it. For those who have only listened to "Good News for People Who Like Bad News" or "We were Dead Before the Ship Sank", before listening to this, you should probably explore "The Lonesome Crowded West" or "Building Nothing Out of Something", to ease the transition of their new poppy sound to their more ...

    A Long Drive-Modest Mouse

    This is one of my favorite Modest Mouse cds. I love it so much. I was just looking for a new cd to get and I decided on this one and I'm glad I did. "Talking Sh*t About A Pretty Sunset" is one of my favorite songs. Not to mention "Dramamine" and "Head South". Modest Mouse is just a genius band in general. I would recommend this to anyone who is thinking of buying it...

    Exit Does Not Exist

    Rough around the edges and not nearly as strong lyrically as later works, Modest Mouse spend quite a bit of time trying to find themselves here. It is both interesting and enjoyable but not in the usual ways. For me, listening to this is in the same category as scientist studying evolution and discovering a missing link. It's essential to the big picture but hardly stands on it's own. 3 Stars.

    Perfect for dedicated Modest Mouse fans

    I love this CD. I think my favorite song on here is Dramamine, the rest is really experimental, but a nice mellow sound. All in all, I would recommend it to other people.
