Works perfectly to replace 2 ATA133 IDE drives with SATA drives. Have not tried using one to connect an IDE drive to a SATA controller yet so I can't comment on that functionality. My only issue is the height exceeds the thickness of a 1U server so it requires a short IDE extension ribbon so it can be laid flat within the case, instead of being able to just plug it directly into the motherboard.
