Dane Cook has been my all time favorite comedian ever since his first DVD "Harmful If Swallowed" came out. His jokes and skits are hilarious, most of his material are things most people can relate to, making it that much better. Unlike the majority of comedians, Dane Cook has a lot of energy on stage, so it's entertaining to not only hear the jokes, but to watch him perform. He seems to always get in tune with the audience as well, making them feel as if they are part of the stories he's telling. If you haven't heard any of Cook's material then there's something wrong with you. Generally I like Dane Cook. I enjoy most of his stand up but I didn't like this one. The venue was too large, it didn't have that comedy club feel to it. If you are a long time Cook fan, you will probably like this one but if this is the first you see of him, you will feel like there is one big inside joke that you are left out of. He has a lot of funnier bits and I didn't think he was as humorous in this show. Don't get me wrong, I laughed a lot...but there were long stretches that I didn't laugh at all. Unless you are a Dane Cook fanatic, I would skip this one.Generally I like Dane Cook. I enjoy most of his stand up but I didn't like this one. Honestly, before I ran across this DVD, I myself didnt even know that Dane Cook was a "stand-up" comedian(and the store clerk laughed). I have always greatly enjoyed the films that he starred in, and with that said, this is a GREAT LIVE PERFORMANCE! If you love Dane Cook(or even enjoy his work), Im sure you'll enjoy this DVD! Though a handful of his skits on this DVD get a little drawn out and dry(like the "crying scene"), the LAUGHTER he creates with the rest of his performance much supersedes any dry spots! Many parts of this DVD can get pretty RAW, so we recommend it to the adult audience only. Dane Cook with have you ROLLIN' and have tears coming out of your eyes! ABSOLUTELY WORTH BUYING! Highly Recommend!! You'll want to own this to watch it over and over! Note: this DVD is not ... I wanted to watch on computer and not main tv-nice in private and able to review all the good comedy bits, no commercials. ebaying cheaper than attending Dane Cook tour with best seats in you home. Also beer is cheaper than away and DUIs are expensive. DVD is uncensored and the real laughter is now not delayed. Being a comic fanatic DVDs are the way to go and shows can been seen over and over with out driving 2-6 hours to see your favorite comics. I like the round stage so all show goers are able to see the STAR. I look forward for DANE to come to Tennessee, Its worth the wait. Dane Cook Vicious Circle(2006,DVD)
Dane Cook ROCKS!!! A definate must buy his material in the show is classic. The big reason i bought it was we went to california for my son's birthday & I remember sitting in our hotel room, about 5 of us watching his show on HBO when it first came out & I can seriously say I don't remember laughing so hard in my life. So it definately brought back some great memories.
