Solve a spooky mystery in the film 'Goosebumps: Stay Out of the Basement'. Based on the books written by R.L Stine, this movie follows the story of Margaret after her dad is fired. After being fired, she notices that he begins to act a little odd. No one else seems to notice his changed behavior. Scared and curious, she investigates the situation in his basement handout and discovers that he has begun to eat plant food. That is where the story begins as she starts to uncover many spooky secrets. Released in 1996 by 20th Century Fox, this 22-minute film is part one of the VHS series.

    Great Fun for the whole family!

    I love R.L. Stine- I've read so many of his books, and I'm happy that my children like him also. This movie is a little scary, but in a more innocent and funny way than adult scary movies. The main characters are always kids in the goosebumps series, so it's easier for kids to relate and thus it holds their attention. This episode is not so long as to bore the viewer, and has just enough surprises to keep both kids and adults entertained. No gore, no mess, nothing really scary to give anyone nightmares (my 4 and 7 yr old boys LOVE these episodes!). The kids' dad in this episode notice their dad spends all his time in the basement working with his experiments (he's a botanist) and more and more he begins to act strangely. Let's just say that there are some really strange plants down there! ...

    Goosebumps VCR.

    Once upon a time long ago,I entered a movie theatre in the 1930's to see Frankenstein. The thrill of that night has remained in the dark recesses of my memory these many years. So it is with the Goosebumps series. I love this stuff. It fires the imagination and brings back the days of my childhood. What a thrill to show these DVD's/VHS tapes to children. They love to look at the photos on the package and watch the story unfold and seep into their memories. Can it get any better than that for Halloween? Yours in Collecting. Wanda

    Goosebumps Stay out of the closet

    My son loved the movie. He is only 5 and I was surprised that it didn't scare him. He had seen this movie at the day care and began asking me for it so I decided to get it for him. Good childrens movie (maybe a little older than my 5 year old though).
