    A refreshing change of pace.

    I caught this movie on television and had to watch it all the way through. Apparently that wasn't enough. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the story. There are subtleties that can be missed if you aren't playing close attention. (i.e. when the rat drinks a pint.) The character Matthew (brother-in-law of the rat) is the supposed font of knowledge, an Irish Cliff Claven. He is worth the price of admission. If you like "The Lobster Tale" this might be your cup of tea.

    Rat (2001, DVD)

    Very funny comedy. If you like British-type comedy; you will love this one. man drinks and carouses then turns into a rat. The family dealing with the calamity are hilarious. No big-name actors but some authentic Irish scenery makes for a pleasurable flick.

    This movie is the funniest...ha ha...crack up film...ha

    I saw a portion of this movie on television which prompted me to purchase it. The plot is one of those dry humor British comedies which is a must see. If you liked Faulty Towers or other John Cleese films, it's for you.

    Nothing like having a "Rat" in the family

    Caught this flix on Netflix and had to have it. Love British humor. The actors in this are well known. They are a treat to see how they re-act to the head of the household turning into a real live rat who lives among them.
