About this product

Product Information

This special release adds Xbox Live online support to THQ's original Tetris Worlds. Players can now challenge one another, from across town or across the nation, in six variations of the action puzzle game. In addition to the program's classic version of the game, "Square Tetris" give players bonuses for building and clearing four-by-four squares, and "Hot-Line Tetris" awards extra points for clearing certain horizontal lines, which are noted by a bar of color. The "Cascade Tetris" variant allows squares from placed shapes to separate and fall individually when lines are cleared, while "Sticky Tetris" causes such leftover individual blocks to meld together by color and disappear when the aggregate grows large enough. Finally, "Fusion Tetris" adds single-square pieces called "Atom Blocks," which must be connected to the single-square "Fusion Block" that is buried in the "garbage" pieces and spaces on the board at the beginning of the stage.

    IF YOU LOVE A GOOD FIGHT...

    In many ways, Tetris Worlds turns the original concept upside down while keeping most of its mechanics intact!!! You earn points, your enemy finds his game more difficult. Up to four people can play on this game..can be played solo or against up to three other players on a single Xbox, and more importantly, you can also play square Tetris, cascade Tetris, and standard Tetris against three opponents via Xbox Live. Square and cascade Tetris can both be played in knockout mode, where extra incomplete lines are added to the bottom of your opponents' fields when you clear multiple lines. ! The music is made up of noodley ambient techno and industrial tracks, all of which are completely forgettable. Thankfully, the Xbox version of Tetris Worlds allows you to rip your own soundtrack, Tetris ...

    Tetris

    Great game. Bought it for my 9-y-o son to play, but ended up playing it more than HE does. An easy non-thinking game that certainly relieves stress at the end of the day!
