Middle Age Reflections From Carly
HAVE YOU SEEN ME LATELY reflects a definitive period in Carly's life and music as she just turned 45 when it was released. It remains one of her most introspective and thought provoking albums. It is quite obvious throughout this entire set that she is reflecting on observations from the landscape of middle age. Carly looks fantastic on the cover with a sultry smile and provacitive clothing. WOW! An LP with lyrics about growing older and facing the fact that youth has flown by quickly and one is just now trying to catch up it's also sprinkled throughout with some upbeat tunes about romance and sexual liberation on tracks like BETTER NOT TELL HER (which became a top 5 adult contemporary hit), HOLDING ME TONIGHT, and DON"T WRAP IT UP, as well as a sense of 90's new age sound especially on ... HAVE YOU SEEN ME LATELY reflects a definitive period in Carly's life and music as she just turned 45 when it was released. It remains one of her most introspective and thought provoking albums. Deeply reflective on the songs IT'S NOT LIKE HIM, about a wife who is in denial about her husband having an affair with a younger woman, DIDN"T I?, a song filled with self doubt and dysfunctional angst about a failed relationship, and WE JUST GOT HERE, a beautifully written metaphor for middle age. The loveliest gem on the album by far THE FISHERMAN'S SONG with guest vocalist Judy Collins is hauntingly lovely. Highly recommended.

I decide to buy a CD , because this singer is very famous artist. She had the Oscar prise. My granddaughter and my daughter love Carly Simon and more Simon;s a sing. My granddaughter is 13 years old.Now she has some IPod, where she hold a songs , that she love, She love the Beatles, Quins, Rafe. Also she has lovely songs Carly Simon.Every day she listen the Simon,s songs.Rimma Narbekova.
