    A very good early 1990's Lionel engine with decent pulling power and durability

    Its durable and pretty powerful even though it has neither magne traction nor rubber traction tires. With a small amount of non magnetic weights (2 oz) pulling power is increased greatly. Its simple without a lot of failure prone electronics for the operator who doesn't use any kind of remote control. Similar Lionel engines of that era would include the Reading T-1, Pennsy B6b, Frisco Mikado, Pennsy S-2 Turbine and even the somewhat enigmatically presented and occasionally erratically performing C&O Yellow Hudson.
