    Great product if you are a Skype Subscriber

    We've been using these Philips Skype phones for almost 4 years now as our primary long distance service. It works great. We have 4 of the phone handsets in our house allowing us to call from all the key areas. We subscribe to Skype and have unlimited calling in the U.S. for $3 per month. I also have a SKYPEIN number that is a U.S. number that anyone can call like a normal number. This is useful for travel as we can be anywhere in the world and as long as we have an internet connection (Hotel Room internet which I share out via travel router to the Skype Phone) we have uninterrupted ability to answer incoming calls.

    Awesome phone!

    This was an awesome purchase, it makes my life so easy! Now I do not have to be at my computer to receive skype calls. The phone works great, very intuitive to set up. My phone has battery issues, it dies after an hour and a half of talking, but I suspect that has more to do with its previous owner than the phone. I can't say enough good things about it, and I am sure I haven't even explored half of it's capabilities. Sound: excellent interface: super easy reliability, in the past few months I have not had a problem.

    voip 841

    Great phone, easy to use. Philips has a certain monopole and I wonder why others have not produced such a nice phone. Attention: The US base station does not comunicate with european handsets and vice versa, so if someone wants to build up a telephone center with up to 4 handsets should be purchased with the same regional code (US 05, Europe 37, shown in below the base and in the battery box of the handset). Another obeservation: Only 750mA rechargebale batteries work, below this the handset will no switch on.

    Great Product!!!

    This is a great phone to make and receive free phone calls using the Skype Internet service. The battery time is great and the headset features are great. This is the best Skype Internet Phone without the need for a computer.

    get reached without a computer on

    A very good product, originally bought to decrease my computer dependency. After I borrowed to my father he loved so much that seems I need to go for another one. Does only voice, no messages. The voice quality is excellent and nowadays skype call is better usable than the normal landline, while this can do both.
