    A Good Introduction to a Wonderful Book

    I found this book, DANGEROUS JOURNEY, to be a good introduction to John Bunyan's Christian classic. I say it's an introduction because a lot of the original content is NOT in the book. It has been turned into a short story, albeit with chapters, which lets youngsters (of any age) see how gripping the tale is. If you want more of the content of the original book, there are plenty of versions to choose from, including the original text itself and the original text in modern English. This version is, as the cover says, "the STORY of Pilgrim's Progress," and it does that job well. The illustrations by Alan Perry are wonderful and help communicate the story. (By the way, this apparently this started out as a British television production of the 1980s.) I hesitated to buy this book ...

    Beautifully Illustrated Allegory for Kids (and adults)

    John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress is a Christian classic that describes the life and trials of a "pilgrim" seeking God. The original is from another era and might be difficult for contemporary readers, especially children. Dangerous Journey preserves the essence of the story and is accompanied by inspired illustrations that bring the words to life. Highly recommended family reading. Have had my original copy since the 1980's when my family was young, and I was overjoyed to find a "like new copy" at a reasonable price to give as a gift to a young family!

    Dangerous Journey

    Excellent book depicting a born again christian believers walk through life with the Lord, to victory. I’ve always loved this book since the first time I read it to my children. Now want to read it to my Grand Bees.
