    Another book by Dr. Robert Ballard. This time, a chronicle of the Hunter - BISMARCK. The Bismarck was perhaps one of the greatest warships of WWII. She was the pride of German technology with a crew trained in ruthlessness and unquestioned obedience. She was the ultimate weapon of evil! Her sinking was the results of absolute luck, when a torpedo struck her rudder and steering-box rendering her unmaneuverable. Had this last torpedo, launched from the last torpedo plane in the squadron missed Bismarck, she probably would have made Brest, France, and Nazi protection. There is no telling what havoc she may have wrought had she managed to escape into the Atlantic unchallenged. At maximum weight of 58,835 tons, and 824 feet long, she was a monster capable of speeds up to 34mph. With her 15" ...
